New book to read

After re-reading Sklansky's "No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice" I've decided to pick up a new book.

Di, Hac and a couple of other online players suggested:

I luckboxed myself the last copy at Tyson's mall.  ^_^

I'm looking forward to reading it and discussing it with other poker players. see you at the tables.

Sept 11

sept 11sept 11

Only played a few hands today [ I NEED TO PLAY MORE].  I ran pretty well, only had 1 big hand in which i didn't know what to do.  So overall pretty standard.  If you can, please go to the hand entitle "Sticky situation doublestacked OOP" and tell me what you think, i would really appreciate it.  I'll play more after i read a little bit more, see you guys at the tables

2nd class /deej

Second class went really well.. [i won't regurgitate what happened since Di already went over it in his blog] I did pretty well in the hand challenge which did alot for my confidence. There were still things i got wrong, next week i'll shoot to do better. During our team session Vy and I did pretty well (+ 1.5BI's). I learned alot of things that i want to implement in my post-flop game, here are a couple of things i wrote down:

- Bet two streets with Ace high or underpair when draws misses or a scare card hits on turn

Am I Nuts

Second Class Done!

We just finished the second class.  Overall, I felt it was a very productive class.

Here's a quick summary of the lesson:

Sept 10th

While taking the class I've decided to play .5/1. I figured that mistakes at this level wouldn't be too costly, and i would still care about the money. I put in a couple of sessions [only 1.7k hands].. i'm not running too well right now, combined with post-flop mistakes have me down 5 BI's.
